A Tribute to the Nikon F

The Nikon F is possibly the most important 35mm SLR camera in the history of photography. Introduced in March 1959, this model quickly became Nikon's best seller and the first choice for professional photographers. The presentation of this camera represented a huge advance in photographic technology, although to better understand it, let's review the situation prior to the year 1959.

“Everything you can imagine is real.”

Even though our work and our web site is devoted primarily to Nikon film equipment and Nikon collectibles, there are certain aspects in which we are also interested that stand above similar items in terms of craftsmanship and contribution to the world beauty.

Pablo Picasso used to say, “Everything you can imagine is real.” Here, at Nikon-Film, we have irresponsible, condomless sex with whatever Nikon-related idea that crosses our mind. And we make it real.

We produce our art works in extremely limited editions so each individual item would maintain its value over time. Each work is signed and numbered. The numbering represents the number of the item in the production run. Prototypes are 0000. All the Nikon items for Egg’o are recorded in our catalogue raisonné so you should contact us if you have any question about the authenticity of your Nikon-Film – Egg’o Series work.

We have put together these collections of hard to find items that we make available to the public. All items are in near mint condition, working, boxed and with manuals.

Dear  Visitor,

Once upon a time, but not too long ago, computers breathed, ate, slept … and made pictures. Computers were people. People that, when working with film, love the mystery of not being able to immediately see what the image will look like —and just hope to capture that fleeting moment.
